2027: FORMER EL-RUFAI AIDE DEFECTS TO APC, DECLARES KADUNA ADC HAS NO BONA FIDE POLITICIAN LEFT

Muhammad Sa’idu, a former Kaduna State Commissioner for Finance and Chief of Staff to ex-Governor Nasir el-Rufai, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring that no bona fide politician remains in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State.

Sa’idu made the declaration on Saturday during a ceremony held in Zaria to welcome him and other defectors into the ruling APC.

The former commissioner, who previously served under el-Rufai’s administration, said his defection marked a significant political development in Kaduna State, while making a sweeping claim about the political strength and membership of the ADC in the state.

His move comes amid shifting political alignments in Kaduna, as politicians continue to reposition themselves ahead of future electoral contests.

Sa’idu’s assertion that no bona fide politician remains in the Kaduna ADC reflects his assessment of the party’s standing in the state following his departure. However, the claim was not independently verified in the information available.
