OLUYOLE 2027: DOAF STRENGTHENS GRASSROOTS CONNECTION, CHAMPIONS EQUALITY AND EMPOWERMENT
“A Vote for Me Is a Voice for All” — Dolapo Adelana
The journey towards a stronger, more inclusive and people-oriented representation at the Oyo State House of Assembly (OYHA) continues to gain momentum as Honourable Dolapo Adelana, popularly known as DOAF, took his grassroots engagement to Temidire Oloke Community, off Idi Obi Ogundepo, Ward 4, Oluyole Local Government Constituency.
The visit was another demonstration of DOAF’s commitment to maintaining a close relationship with the people and ensuring that the grassroots remains at the centre of his leadership vision.
Rather than limiting leadership engagement to political meetings and formal gatherings, DOAF continues to identify with the people directly—meeting with mothers, fathers, elders, youths, community stakeholders, party members and residents.
The atmosphere at Temidire Oloke was one of interaction, appreciation and renewed commitment, as the community welcomed the leadership engagement and the opportunity to share their thoughts, concerns and expectations.
SUPPORT THAT SPEAKS TO THE PEOPLE
As part of the visit, Honourable Dolapo Adelana extended tangible support to members of the community and party through the provision of chairs, financial assistance and food items.
The gesture was not presented merely as material assistance, but as part of a broader philosophy of leadership that recognises the importance of standing with the people and supporting community cooperation.
For DOAF, grassroots politics should be about people, relationships, service and responsibility.
The chairs donated represent more than physical items—they symbolise support for community gatherings and collective activities. The financial assistance provides immediate support, while the food donations reflect concern for the welfare of members and elders.
Leadership must have a human face.
A LEADERSHIP VISION BUILT AROUND EQUALITY
Speaking during the engagement, Honourable Dolapo Adelana reaffirmed his determination to pursue a representation founded on equality, fairness, inclusion and empowerment.
He declared:
«“A vote for me is a voice for all.”»
The statement captures the central theme of his political aspiration: representation should not belong to a select few.
According to the DOAF vision, the mother in the community, the father working to provide for the family, the young person searching for opportunity, the elderly citizen seeking dignity, the artisan, trader, farmer, professional, student and every resident deserve to have their interests represented.
WOMEN AND YOUTHS AT THE HEART OF INCLUSIVE REPRESENTATION
A major component of DOAF’s vision is the need to strengthen opportunities for women and youths within the constituency.
Women remain critical pillars of families and communities, while youths represent the energy, creativity and future of society.
For this reason, meaningful political representation should go beyond speaking for the people—it should create avenues for participation, empowerment, capacity building and opportunity.
DOAF’s message is therefore one of inclusion: ensuring that women are heard, youths are encouraged, elders are respected and communities are carried along in the process of leadership.
FROM GRASSROOTS TO THE OYO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY
The engagement at Temidire Oloke also reflects the importance of grassroots understanding in legislative representation.
A representative who understands the community is better positioned to understand the issues that deserve attention at the legislative level.
DOAF is therefore presenting his aspiration to serve in the Oyo State House of Assembly as an opportunity to transform grassroots voices into meaningful representation.
The objective is to ensure that issues affecting the people of Oluyole Constituency receive stronger attention and that the constituency has a representative who remains connected to the people.
SERVICE BEYOND POLITICS
At the heart of the engagement is a broader principle:
Service to humanity should not be seasonal.
The people deserve leaders who can identify with them, listen to them and contribute to their development.
The visit to Temidire Oloke is consequently another step in building a relationship founded on trust, accessibility, mutual respect and service.
It demonstrates that grassroots engagement is not simply about seeking votes; it is also about understanding the people, appreciating their realities and working towards a better future.
TEMIDIRE OLOKE: ANOTHER STEP IN THE GRASSROOTS JOURNEY
From Ward 4 and beyond, the message continues to resonate:
The grassroots matters.
The people matter.
Every community matters.
Every voice matters.
And every individual deserves leadership that recognises their value.
As the political journey progresses, DOAF continues to take his message directly to the people, strengthening relationships and reaffirming his commitment to a more inclusive and equitable Oluyole Constituency.
THE DOAF MESSAGE
Service to Humanity.
Empowerment for All.
Equality in Representation.
Grassroots Development.
Women and Youth Inclusion.
People-Centred Leadership.
