Boye Nation Group Hits Back at Taoheed, Demands Evidence for ‘Area Boys’ Allegation
The Boye Nation Media and Support Group has rejected what it described as “reckless, malicious and unfounded” allegations credited to Hon. Adeleke Bolaji Taoheed against Ajiboye Akande Sangogade, popularly known as Boye Nation.
In a statement signed by Amb. Omiyale Ademola, the group condemned the allegation that Boye Nation is “breeding area boys,” describing the claim as an attempt to damage the reputation of a private citizen and mislead members of the public.
The group challenged Hon. Taoheed to substantiate his allegation with credible evidence, while accusing him of hypocrisy over his alleged previous dealings with Boye Nation.
According to the statement, the group claims to possess evidence of a ₦1 million financial transaction allegedly made to Hon. Taoheed by Boye Nation. It challenged Taoheed to publicly clarify the alleged transaction and explain the circumstances surrounding it.
“Before Hon. Adeleke Bolaji Taoheed points fingers or questions anyone’s character, he must first look in the mirror. It is an act of gross hypocrisy for him to launch a public attack against Boye Nation, considering his own direct associations.”
The group further alleged that it is in possession of financial records which it says involve other individuals within the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
It said the records would be made public if what it described as continued “character assassination” against Boye Nation persists.
“We are currently in possession of verifiable financial receipts and evidence which we believe raise questions about financial dealings involving some individuals within the Oyo State APC,” the statement said.
The group, however, maintained that its position is centred on transparency and accountability, urging all parties involved to address the allegations with facts and verifiable documentation.
It called on Hon. Taoheed to retract what it described as baseless allegations against Boye Nation and warned against further personal attacks.
“The people of Oyo State deserve transparency, not selective amnesia and political blackmail,” the statement added.
