SAKI WEST 2027:HON. SALAUDEEN KABEERU ADEBAYO (SKA) VISITS FAWI SAKI BRANCH, COMMENDS VOCATIONAL EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE

In furtherance of his commitment to community development, human capacity building, youth empowerment, and initiatives that create sustainable opportunities for the people, Hon. Salaudeen Kabeeru Adebayo (SKA), APM Candidate for Saki West Constituency, Oyo State House of Assembly (OYHA), alongside members of the SKA Team, paid a courtesy visit to the Folorunsho Adisa Welfare Initiative (FAWI), Saki Branch, today.

The visit was an opportunity for the SKA Team to interact with the management and beneficiaries of the initiative and, more importantly, to gain firsthand knowledge of the vocational training programmes being implemented to equip individuals with practical and entrepreneurial skills.

A FIRSTHAND EXPERIENCE OF EMPOWERMENT

During the visit, members of the SKA Team were taken through aspects of the vocational training and empowerment activities being undertaken at the centre.

The team was particularly impressed by the dedication, creativity, commitment, and practical skills demonstrated by the beneficiaries.

The atmosphere at the centre reflected more than just vocational training. It demonstrated what can happen when people are given access to the right knowledge, mentorship, tools, encouragement, and opportunities.

For Hon. Salaudeen Kabeeru Adebayo, such initiatives represent an important dimension of community development because empowerment is most meaningful when it equips people with the capacity to become self-reliant and economically productive.

Rather than merely providing temporary assistance, vocational education gives beneficiaries the opportunity to develop skills that can potentially become sustainable sources of income.

COMMENDING A WOMAN OF IMPACT

The SKA Team warmly commended the Founder/CEO of FAWI, Princess Omolara Lawrence, for her remarkable commitment to human development and her determination to provide opportunities for individuals to discover, develop, and maximise their creative potential.

Princess Omolara Lawrence’s work through FAWI demonstrates the importance of individuals who are willing to dedicate their time, resources, energy, and influence toward improving the lives of others.

Her commitment to vocational training, youth development, creative empowerment, entrepreneurship, and community welfare deserves recognition and encouragement.

The SKA Team believes that people who dedicate themselves to creating opportunities for others are contributing significantly to the development of society, and such efforts should receive the necessary support from government, private organisations, philanthropists, community leaders, and other well-meaning individuals.

SKILLS ACQUISITION AS A PATHWAY TO ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE
At a time when economic empowerment and job creation remain important priorities for communities across Nigeria, vocational and entrepreneurial training can play a crucial role in preparing people for sustainable livelihoods.

A trained individual can become self-employed.

A successful entrepreneur can employ others.
An empowered young person can become a role model.

A skilled woman can support her household and contribute to her community.
This is why initiatives such as FAWI are important.

One skill can change a life. One empowered individual can influence a family. One successful entrepreneur can create opportunities for many others.

It is therefore essential that programmes focused on skills acquisition and entrepreneurship continue to receive encouragement and support.

SKA'S VISION FOR PEOPLE-CENTRED REPRESENTATION
The visit also reflects the leadership philosophy of Hon. Salaudeen Kabeeru Adebayo (SKA), whose approach places the people and their welfare at the centre of meaningful representation.

As the APM Candidate for Saki West Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, SKA recognises that effective representation must extend beyond legislative responsibilities and political engagements.

It must also involve listening to the people, identifying community needs, supporting impactful initiatives, encouraging entrepreneurship, promoting human capital development, and creating an environment where constituents can realise their potential.

The visit to FAWI provided another opportunity to appreciate the importance of grassroots initiatives and the role they can play in complementing broader development efforts.

A CALL FOR COLLECTIVE SUPPORT
The SKA Team therefore calls on individuals, corporate organisations, philanthropists, government agencies, community leaders, development partners, and other stakeholders to support organisations and initiatives that are genuinely committed to empowering people.

Supporting vocational centres is an investment in the future.

Providing training materials is an investment in human capital.

Supporting young entrepreneurs is an investment in the local economy.

Empowering women is an investment in families and communities.

And supporting creative minds is an investment in the future of society.

With the right support, beneficiaries of FAWI and similar initiatives can move from skill acquisition to entrepreneurship, from entrepreneurship to job creation, and from job creation to broader community development.

APPRECIATION AND PRAYERS
The SKA Team sincerely appreciates Princess Omolara Lawrence, the management, trainers, staff, and beneficiaries of FAWI Saki Branch for the warm reception and for the opportunity to witness the commendable work being carried out at the centre.

We celebrate your dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to touching lives.

May God Almighty continue to strengthen Princess Omolara Lawrence, grant her greater wisdom, sound health, abundant resources, divine protection, and renewed strength to continue pursuing this noble vision.

May every obstacle standing in the way of this mission be removed.

May FAWI continue to grow from strength to strength and expand its reach to more communities.

May every individual whose life is positively impacted through FAWI become a testimony of the power of knowledge, skills, opportunity, determination, and compassion.
And may every person, organisation, and institution contributing to this noble mission be abundantly rewarded.

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES
For Hon. Salaudeen Kabeeru Adebayo (SKA) and the entire SKA Team, today's visit is not merely a courtesy call. It is another reminder that the future of Saki West must be built around empowered people, productive youths, thriving entrepreneurs, skilled artisans, innovative minds, and inclusive opportunities.

The journey toward a stronger constituency begins with people.

The transformation of communities begins with empowerment.

And sustainable development begins when individuals are given the tools to build a better future.
