Oyo State ADC: Party Members Across 33 Local Governments

 Demand Immediate Release of Gbemileke Alagbe (Eleniyan’s) 2027 Ticket

OYO STATE – June 4, 2026 — Dedicated members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) across all 33 local government areas in Oyo State have spoken with one voice, 

calling on the party’s leadership to immediately finalize and release the official 2027 gubernatorial ticket to Hon. Gbemileke Alagbe, popularly known as Eleniyan.

This united call comes from the very people who form the backbone of the party,

 expressing growing frustration over the unnecessary delay of the ticket for the man they overwhelmingly chose as their flagbearer.

The Sweat of Loyalty Across 33 LGAs

When the ADC in Oyo State faced a severe internal crisis that threatened its existence, it was Eleniyan who stood firmly by the party. 

He did not run away. Instead, he spent his sweat, resources, and energy to rebuild the party structures in every single one of the 33 local governments, steering the ADC back into an enviable, winning shape.

The grassroots members across the state voted for him not because of money, but out of absolute trust in his loyalty and sacrifice. It is disheartening to the members that people who abandoned the party—or stood on the sidelines during the storm—now want to cause delays today because the house is clean and stable.

Hungry for Celebration

"We, the members from the 33 local governments, worked alongside Eleniyan to save this party," a representative of the local government coordinators stated. "He is our choice for 2027.

 Our people are hungry to celebrate his emergence and hit the ground running with grassroots campaigns.

 Delaying his ticket is delaying the progress of the entire party."

The members firmly warn that holding back the certificate of a candidate who has already won the hearts and votes of the populace only creates unnecessary tension where there should be celebration.

A Direct Appeal to Leadership

The party faithful from Ibadan to Oyo, Ogbomoso, Oke-Ogun, and Ibarapa are urging the national and state leadership to honor the democratic will of the masses.

The leadership must act swiftly, ratify Eleniyan's ticket, and give the 33 local governments the green light to begin the journey toward absolute victory in 2027.
