Hon. Jubril Aderemi Agbaoselu has launched the Allisoji Movement, an initiative designed to facilitate the nomination of 6,390 polling unit ambassadors across communities.

The initiative seeks to establish a broad grassroots structure through which selected ambassadors will represent their respective polling units and contribute to increased civic engagement and community participation.

According to the initiative's framework, the ambassadors are expected to serve as grassroots representatives, helping to communicate civic information, encourage voter participation, and strengthen engagement between communities and the electoral process.

The proposed nomination exercise is expected to focus on individuals regarded as responsible, committed and capable of effectively representing their communities. Selected ambassadors will also be expected to understand their roles and responsibilities and contribute to an orderly and informed electoral environment.

The Allisoji Movement is also positioned as a grassroots empowerment initiative, with emphasis on community participation, local leadership and active citizenship. Through its proposed network of polling unit ambassadors, the movement aims to create a stronger connection between citizens at the grassroots and broader democratic processes.

With 6,390 polling units targeted, the initiative represents a significant grassroots organisational effort and is expected to generate considerable attention as its nomination process progresses.

The launch marks the beginning of a wider mobilisation and nomination process, with further details on the selection criteria, participating communities and activities of the ambassadors expected to emerge as the initiative develops.
