Oyo 2027: APC Unveils Rice Palliatives for Oyo Traders to Ease Cost of Living

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has unveiled another round of palliative support for traders across the state with the distribution of hundreds of bags of rice aimed at cushioning the effects of the rising cost of living.

The initiative is being spearheaded by the party's leading flag bearer, Senator (Dr.) Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli, alongside the APC Senatorial candidates: Senator Yunus Akintunde (Oyo Central), Hon. Abass Aderemi Oseni (Oyo South), and Mrs. Hannah Ogunesan (Oyo North).

According to reliable sources, the initiative aligns with the Federal Government's palliative measures designed to ease the economic burden on Nigerians following the removal of the fuel subsidy and the resulting increase in the prices of goods and services.

The rice distribution follows the recent empowerment programmes organized by the APC Senatorial candidates across the three senatorial districts, where traders and other beneficiaries received various forms of support.

As rice remains a staple food in many households, the distribution is intended to provide relief to traders and their families while helping to reduce the impact of the current economic challenges.

Party stakeholders noted that the APC's series of empowerment and welfare programmes reflect its commitment to improving the welfare of residents and supporting vulnerable groups ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Traders across the state have expressed appreciation for the initiative and are eagerly awaiting the distribution of the rice at designated market locations.
