ONA ARA APC: ENGR. FUNMI OBISESAN RALLIES WOMEN IN SUPPORT AS FIRST LADY OLUREMI TINUBU ARRIVES FOR TINUBU TORCH BEARERS INAUGURATION
The women and girls of Oyo State proudly and warmly welcome Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to our dear state as she joins the people of Oyo in a significant engagement celebrating the invaluable contributions of women to governance, leadership, community development and the political advancement of Nigeria.
The arrival of the First Lady represents more than a ceremonial visit. It is a moment of renewed hope, inspiration and solidarity for women across Oyo State, particularly those who continue to demonstrate resilience, commitment and determination in contributing meaningfully to the development of their communities and the nation at large.
Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu has consistently championed initiatives focused on women's empowerment, youth development, social inclusion, education, entrepreneurship and improved opportunities for vulnerable members of society. Her presence in Oyo State therefore provides an important platform to further strengthen the voice of women and encourage greater participation in leadership and governance.
This historic engagement also highlights the growing strength, unity and organisational capacity of the women's wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State. It is an opportunity for women from across the state's 33 Local Government Areas to come together, celebrate their collective achievements and reaffirm their determination to remain active stakeholders in the political and developmental future of Oyo State.
Under the distinguished leadership of Her Excellency, Ambassador Dr. Florence Ajimobi, and in collaboration with Dr. Felicia Adekemi Opatunde, State Women Leader, APC Oyo State, the women of Oyo State continue to demonstrate that women are not merely participants in the political process but important drivers of meaningful change.
Their leadership has continued to inspire greater unity, mobilisation and political consciousness among women across the state, while encouraging more women to take their rightful place in decision-making, public service and community development.
ONA-ARA WOMEN STAND UNITED
On behalf of the women, daughters and good people of Ona-Ara Local Government, I, Chief (Engr.) Funmi Obisesan, APC Candidate for Oyo State House of Assembly, Ona-Ara Constituency, extend my heartfelt and enthusiastic welcome to Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, and her esteemed entourage.
We are delighted to receive the First Lady in Oyo State and particularly proud to join thousands of women in celebrating this important occasion.
For us in Ona-Ara, this visit is an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to women's inclusion, empowerment, purposeful leadership and sustainable community development. We believe that when women are empowered with opportunities, knowledge, resources and representation, families become stronger, communities progress and society moves forward.
We therefore look forward to a memorable, peaceful and impactful visit that will further strengthen the bond among women across Oyo State and inspire a new generation of female leaders.
A MESSAGE OF UNITY, HOPE AND COMMITMENT
As women of Oyo State gather to welcome the First Lady, we stand together in unity, solidarity and optimism. We recognise the importance of women's voices in shaping the political future of our state and nation, and we remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote greater opportunities for women and girls.
We pray for Her Excellency's safe arrival, a successful engagement and a peaceful departure, trusting that her visit will leave behind renewed inspiration, stronger connections and greater momentum for women's participation in governance and political development.
