OFFICIAL & UNDISPUTED: GBEMILEKE ALAGBE “ELENIYAN” STANDS AS THE SOLE RECOGNIZED ADC GOVERNORSHIP FLAGBEARER IN OYO STATE
PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DISREGARD FALSE CLAIMS: GBEMILEKE ALAGBE (ELENIYAN) REMAINS THE ONLY RECOGNIZED ADC GOVERNORSHIP FLAGBEARER IN OYO STATE
The attention of the Eleniyan Vanguard, under the leadership of Dvoicebaba & Crew, has been drawn to a series of misleading publications, unauthorized press statements, and desperate propaganda campaigns allegedly emanating from the camp of Chief Gboyega Adegoke (Solution).
We wish to categorically state, without any form of ambiguity, that any publication, broadcast, or social media report claiming or insinuating that Chief Gboyega Adegoke holds the mandate or gubernatorial ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State is entirely false, misleading, and should be disregarded by the public.
The internal democratic process of our great party was conducted peacefully, transparently, and credibly across the state on May 23, 2026. During the direct primary election exercise, delegates and party members overwhelmingly voted for a new direction and a new generation of leadership.
The official results, as announced by the Chairman of the Oyo State ADC Primary Elections Committee, Harrison Akpojaro, clearly confirmed the emergence of Dr. Gbemileke Alagbe (Eleniyan) as the duly elected and authentic governorship flagbearer of the party.
Official Primary Election Results:
- Total Votes Cast: 21,500
- Winner & Recognized Flagbearer: Dr. Gbemileke Alagbe (Eleniyan)
- Votes Secured by Alagbe: 15,107 votes
This overwhelming victory represents a massive and unquestionable mandate from party members across the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State.
In contrast, Chief Gboyega Adegoke and the remaining aspirants failed to secure comparable support, as Dr. Alagbe defeated his closest challenger with a margin exceeding 14,000 votes, a clear reflection of the confidence reposed in his leadership, vision, and grassroots acceptance.
Politics remains a game of numbers, and the numbers have spoken loudly and decisively in favor of Dr. Gbemileke Alagbe (Eleniyan). With over 70 percent of the total votes cast, his victory is not open to distortion, manipulation, or media propaganda.
While disappointment after an electoral defeat is understandable, any attempt to undermine the clearly expressed will of thousands of party members through unauthorized statements and media theatrics is an affront to democratic values and party unity.
We therefore urge members of the public, media organizations, political stakeholders, and loyal ADC members across Oyo State to ignore the ongoing misinformation and desperate narratives being circulated by the so called “Solution” media camp.
The ADC in Oyo State remains focused, united, and committed to moving forward under the leadership of its authentic governorship candidate, Dr. Gbemileke Alagbe (Eleniyan).
At 40 years old, Dr. Alagbe represents a bridge between experience, innovation, youth driven leadership, and modern technocratic governance, qualities urgently needed to reposition Oyo State for greater progress and prosperity.
We respectfully call on Chief Gboyega Adegoke and his supporters to accept the outcome of the primary election in good faith, respect the overwhelming mandate freely given to Dr. Alagbe by party members, and join hands in building a stronger and more united ADC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Together, we move forward.
Together, we build the future.
Together, we stand with Eleniyan.
Signed:
Dvoicebaba & Crew
