ILAJI HOSTS FIRST LADY ON AUGUST 31: DOTUN SANUSI’S DEVELOPMENT-DRIVEN LEADERSHIP TAKES CENTRE STAGE

The stage is set. Ilaji is ready. Oyo State is waiting.

Anticipation is building across Oyo State ahead of the historic visit of Nigeria’s First Lady, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Akanran, Ibadan, on Monday, August 31, 2026.

The First Lady is expected to grace the inauguration of the Oyo State Chapter of the Torch Bearers, an initiative aimed at mobilising support for the Renewed Hope administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and promoting the message of continuity ahead of the 2027 general elections.

For many observers, the choice of Ilaji as the venue carries a deeper significance. Beyond its world-class facilities and hospitality, the resort represents the vision and developmental philosophy of its Chief Executive Officer, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi.

Over the years, Chief Dotun Sanusi has continued to project a leadership philosophy centred on development, empowerment, youth advancement, sports, education, enterprise and community development.

His supporters describe his engagement with public affairs as driven by a desire to see purposeful leadership and sustainable development take root in society.

The planned visit has already generated considerable excitement and mobilisation across Oyo State.

Among those actively participating in the mobilisation is Iyaloja Sara Aduke Konibaje, who has commenced engagement with traders and market leaders across the 33 Local Government Areas of the state.

The mobilisation is expected to bring together a broad spectrum of society, including traditional rulers, Ibadan Mogajis and their families, community leaders, women, youths, students, professionals, technocrats, religious leaders, media practitioners and members of the creative industry.

For many of these groups, the event will also be an opportunity to celebrate development initiatives and philanthropic interventions associated with Chief Dotun Sanusi.
