I'll Cause Major Political Upset in Oyo with ADP's Landslide Victory in 2027 – Kunle Olatunji

The Governorship Candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Oyo State, Hon. Kunle Olatunji (KTJ), has expressed confidence that his party will secure a landslide victory in the 2027 governorship election, declaring that the ADP is poised to reshape the political landscape of the state.

Olatunji said the increasing acceptance of the ADP across Oyo State reflects the desire of the people for a credible alternative after years of governance by the state's dominant political parties.

Speaking during a series of media engagements, the ADP flag bearer described the 2027 election as a defining moment in Oyo State's democratic history, promising purposeful leadership focused on development, accountability and inclusive governance.

According to him, an ADP-led administration would implement a comprehensive transformation of the state's governance structure, with policies centred on competence, transparency, empathy and collective responsibility.

"Our administration will pursue a development-driven agenda that prioritises the welfare of the people while restoring Oyo State's position as the true Pace Setter in governance, economic growth and human capital development," he said.

Olatunji explained that his leadership philosophy is rooted in inclusiveness, stressing that every indigene and resident of Oyo State would have the opportunity to contribute to governance through collaboration and shared responsibility.

He also pledged to harness the state's abundant human and natural resources while leveraging its strategic economic advantages to revive the developmental vision championed by the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and other notable South-West leaders.

The ADP candidate maintained that his party continues to gain momentum because of its commitment to integrity, competence and people-oriented leadership, qualities he believes are lacking in the current political environment.

"We are offering Oyo people a credible alternative built on sincerity, intellectual capacity, empathy and a clear understanding of the people's aspirations," he stated.

While acknowledging that some political observers still regard the ADP as an underdog, Olatunji insisted that the party's expanding grassroots support has positioned it as a formidable force ahead of the 2027 general elections

He assured supporters that their confidence in the party would be rewarded with victory at the polls, expressing optimism that the ADP would achieve a historic electoral success.

Olatunji further noted that unlike many political parties grappling with internal crises and leadership disputes, the Action Democratic Party remains united, disciplined and strategically prepared for the election.

"Our strategy is people-centred, issue-based and focused on delivering a resounding victory that will become a reference point in Nigeria's democratic history," he said.

He concluded by promising that an ADP administration would deliver responsive, accountable and inclusive governance through a genuine partnership with the people, with the goal of achieving sustainable development, economic prosperity and the rebirth of Oyo State.

"Together, we shall build a greater Oyo State where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive. The future is bright, and the time for purposeful leadership is now," Olatunji added.
