Elege's PVC for All Initiative Boosts Voter Inclusion and Civic Engagement in Ona Ara

Ibadan, Oyo State – June 2, 2026

In a move aimed at strengthening democratic participation and ensuring that eligible voters in Ona Ara Constituency are not disenfranchised, Hon. Ismaeel Sodiq Opeyemi ELEGE, the Action Democratic Party (ADP) candidate for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ona Ara Constituency, has facilitated a free Permanent Voter's Card (PVC) registration and voter support exercise for residents of the constituency.

The exercise, scheduled to hold on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, will take place at Cavej Hotel & Suites and Orisunmibare Thywill, commencing at 7:00 a.m.

According to the organizers, the initiative is designed to assist eligible residents in accessing vital voter services, including new PVC registration, replacement of damaged voter cards, transfer of voting locations, and retrieval of misplaced PVCs.

Speaking on the initiative, Hon. ELEGE emphasized the importance of voter participation in the democratic process, noting that every eligible citizen deserves the opportunity to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

He encouraged residents of Ona Ara Constituency to take advantage of the exercise and ensure their voter records are up to date ahead of future elections.

To ease participation, transportation arrangements have been made, with buses stationed at both designated venues to convey participants throughout the exercise.

Residents requiring assistance in locating the venues have been advised to contact the designated coordinators for guidance.
