According to him, the database will strengthen evidence-based decision-making and improve the commission’s capacity to monitor disability inclusion nationwide.

Representatives of ECOWAS, Sightsavers, The Leprosy Mission Nigeria, RedAid Nigeria and CHAI, in their goodwill messages, pledged continued support for programmes targeted at improving the welfare and participation of persons with disabilities in national development.

The commission reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with ECOWAS and other partners to implement the 2026 work plan in line with the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act, 2018.
