BREAKING: Tension in Oyo as APC, ADC Fume Over Makinde’s Billboard Crackdown
The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have expressed outrage following the alleged clampdown on opposition campaign billboards by the administration of Seyi Makinde.
The opposition parties accused the Oyo State Government of deliberately frustrating their campaign efforts by preventing the mounting of billboards across strategic locations in the state. They described the move as undemocratic and a direct attack on political freedom.
They called on relevant authorities to ensure a level playing field for all political actors, warning that such actions could undermine the integrity of the democratic process ahead of forthcoming elections.
The development has heightened political tension in Oyo State, with stakeholders urging restraint and adherence to democratic principles.
