Boye Nation, JAF Movement to Declare APM Defection in Ido LG on October 16

The political realignment involving the Boye Nation and JAF Movement is set to extend to Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State, as members of the groups prepare for a formal declaration of their movement into the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM).

The Ido Local Government declaration has been scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2026, at Ido Garage, with the programme expected to commence at 10:00 a.m.

The development follows the September 21 mega concert and political gathering organised by the Boye Nation and JAF Movement at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan, where supporters from different parts of Oyo State formally aligned with the APM.

According to reports on the forthcoming Ido programme, the event, tagged “Young, United & Unstoppable (YUU),” is being organised as part of efforts to consolidate the groups’ grassroots structure and formally declare their political affiliation with the APM in Ido Local Government.

The Ido declaration is expected to attract members and supporters of the Boye Nation and JAF Movement, youths, community stakeholders and other political actors from the local government and neighbouring communities.

Prince Ademola Omiyale, identified as the Boye Nation Ido Local Government Coordinator and spokesperson, said the programme is aimed at strengthening grassroots participation and providing young people with a platform to become more involved in the political process.

The September 21 event had already marked a broader movement of supporters into the APM, with reports indicating that defectors led by Ajiboye Sangogade, popularly known as Boye Nation, came from several local government areas across Oyo State.

With the Ido programme now scheduled, political attention is expected to focus on the turnout, personalities involved and the messages that will emerge as the Boye Nation and JAF Movement deepen their grassroots activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
